Description
Mavenclad (cladribine) is an oral prescription medicine used to treat adults with relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS), including relapsing-remitting disease and active secondary progressive disease. It works by selectively targeting and reducing certain types of white blood cells (lymphocytes) that are believed to play a role in the abnormal immune response that damages the protective covering (myelin) of nerves in MS. Mavenclad is typically given in two short treatment courses over two years, offering long-term disease control with limited dosing.
