Description
Keytruda (pembrolizumab) is a prescription medicine used to treat various types of cancer by helping the body’s immune system detect and fight cancer cells. It is an immune checkpoint inhibitor that targets the PD-1 receptor on T-cells, blocking cancer cells from hiding from immune attack. Keytruda is used for cancers such as melanoma, lung cancer, head and neck cancer, bladder cancer, and others. It is administered through intravenous (IV) infusion under medical supervision.
