Epclusa (sofosbuvir/velpatasvir)

Description

Epclusa (sofosbuvir/velpatasvir) is a prescription antiviral medication used to treat chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in adults and children aged 3 years and older. It combines two active ingredients — sofosbuvir, a nucleotide polymerase inhibitor, and velpatasvir, an NS5A inhibitor — which work together to stop the virus from multiplying in the body. Epclusa is effective against all major genotypes (1–6) of hepatitis C and is typically taken once daily for 12 weeks.
